I just picked up Order of Ecclesia - found it brand new at K-mart of all places. I haven't played any of the Castlevania portable games - how does this one stack up for the DS titles?

Ok, so I tried the jump again...and missed. I think I jumped too early and angled wrong, but every time I mess it up I realize that I don't want to have to run through that whole thing again, so I put the game down for a few days.

It's widely considered to be the best one. It's a really, really good entry in the series and one of my personal favorites.

Time to drive down to Alabama and show you how it's done.

Cool - thanks. I was surprised to find it in a retail store new (and $19.99) given it's 3 years old now.

Yeah what Dylan said, OoE is by far my favorite of the handheld Metroidvania titles. Tough as nails though!

Seriously. I still can't beat the final boss battle. You battle Dracula and Death at the same time. And I can't beat the basement endurance thingie. I've gotten pretty dang far down into it, but I haven't seen the end in site and hit my limit.

Haha, I think I consider Circle of Moon's final boss to be the toughest for me... maybe I was very under-leveled, but his second form could kill me in two hits usually and was ridiculously weird and all over. Was insane and lots of trial and error, but definitely one of those satisfying things I was able to conquer.

As for OoE for some reason I specifically remember the Giant Crab boss gave me tons of trouble. Was one of the earlier bosses I think, so maybe it just stands out because of that... lol.

Actually that sounds about normal for the second form. Depending on the hit, he could easily two-shot (or even one-shot) a character. I beat him the first time by abusing summons.
