I forgot to add "II". But you know what I mean.

Interview with John Carmack:

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/30 ... interview/

"When we started on the game six years ago, I looked at the consoles and said ‘These are as good as the PC’, and our development strategy was to develop live on all the platforms. And now we’re looking at PCs that have ten times the horsepower of the consoles. I’m making a large change in my direction just saying ‘We should be building things efficiently on the PC and then deploying on the consoles.’ And we didn’t make that as crisp of a distinction as we could have."

Oh shit, there's a lot of great stuff coming to the PC soon!

Elder Scrolls V, Prey 2, Far Cry 3, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Bioshock 3, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium online, Neverwinter, Postal III, and so much more.

Also the next Hitman is being handled by Square Enix...not sure how I feel about that.

There's a Postal 3? I've never really been into those games, but the trailer looks like it has embraced its trashiness with both arms and I kind of like that it almost looks a super trashy Tarantino movie.

I love the PC for offering me the niche titles that I crave.

Consoles ought to return to their roots and offer local competition like they used to. The Wii was a almost a fresh start but it failed to bring gaming forward. But as I said previously it's the market that decides what is sold and what is dumped in the desert. Been like this for three decades now, no use crying over spilled milk.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is doing its best to take over the World of Warcraft throne as king of MMORPGs. The trailers at E3 this year were both good, but I thought the cinematic trailer was a little on the lame side in spite of its wonderful graphics and genuine Star Warsiness. For example, the Han Solo clone has taken the space cowboy thing a little too far and the disturbance-in-the-force-lady feels a bit more like a jedi cliche than a living breathing jedi. The gameplay trailer is friggin sweet though. Take a look at them for yourself:

I read somewhere that the game is going to have like 4 or more chapters and each chapter is longer than KOTOR, so if this has the same life-sucking power as WoW, then at least people won't be retreading story for quite awhile.

I'm really upset that the Bioshock Infinite trailer they had appears to have been pulled. I'm excited about quite a few of the games they showed off though. Prey 2 looks incredible, and I've been wanting to see more of Space Marine. Far Cry 2 was quite an interesting experiment, so I'm looking forward to Far Cry 3, even if they change things substantially.
