Markets shift and (d)evolve, computers are rapidly moving to digital distribution and it's expected that consoles could follow in their footsteps sooner than you may think.

You can really tell someones age on this forum just by reading their posts. PC gaming is not dying. Nor will it ever die. Simple as that.

One hundred times this.*

I also wonder why independent developers do not count, I will take Minecraft and World of Goo over the latest Call of Duty any day.

*Actually PC will probably have more exclusives. There's no Cities XL, Railworks or Starcraft to be found in consoles.

I know PC games I don't want the physical copies. I mean whats the point? I'm already installing the game so why should I check for the CD. Just another hassle. It's not like a console where you really NEED the game inside the system to play. So if anything I think RETAIL PC Games are dying. I know the only times I get PC games is when Steam has a sale, but I would rather buy the game via Steam if I wanted to pay full price because it's usually easier. The only thing is downloading a 10 GB game over the internet. Even on a high speed connection thats still gonna take awhile. Plus with bandwith caps its not good to go on a Steam shopping spree!

Back to the games, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is looking overwhelmingly large and incredibly fun.

It looks like the upcoming Trackmania 2 is going to have more crazy physically impossible tracks that appeal to anyone that ever played with Hot Wheels as a kid.

Rock Paper Shotgun just released this snarky little spoof article about the announcement of a new PC at E3.

Speaking of Arma...

Arma III

Arma III has been announced now and the graphics further push the boundaries of war game realism to the bleeding edge. Again a PC exclusive. The current consoles couldn't pull off these graphics.
