Yeah I hated it and the 64 at the time, admittedly I've not used them since the era they came out in.AppleQueso wrote:GC controller is damn comfortable in just about any game I'd use it in.

I like how most people either completely loathe the controller or think it's god's gift to (3d) gaming.

Re: E3 2011
Have you used the the Classic Controller then? A lot of Wii games have terrible control with the Wiimote or Nunchuck setups, such as Sonic Colors. I've heard Classic usually fixes this, but I always run back to GC(Cuz' I'm too cheap to buy a classic controller.)Stark wrote:Yeah I hated it and the 64 at the time, admittedly I've not used them since the era they came out in.AppleQueso wrote:GC controller is damn comfortable in just about any game I'd use it in.

I have both versions of the Classic controller and, depending on the game, they really do make a huge difference. For 2D fighters and platformers, the original classic controller is my main go to. For Kart racers or anything 3D, I go with the new fangled one.
But I always try to get by with a cube controller first.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Cube was a godsend in my example, Sonic Colors. Played like crap with the Wiimote, kept dying and getting stuck.Flake wrote:I have both versions of the Classic controller and, depending on the game, they really do make a huge difference. I disagree, but you are welcome to your opinion and allowed to argue it. It won't change my opinion at all though. I don't loathe the controller, but it's not my favorite.NeverGoBak wrote:Like I said, I forgot about those...AppleQueso wrote:GC controller is damn comfortable in just about any game I'd use it in.

The classic controller should work though, so we'll have a "traditional" controller we can potentially use. I would like the ability to use Gamecube controllers (as I said, it's not my favorite but I don't loathe it), but we'll see if we hear anything about it.
I've seen some folks complaining about the size and acting vengeful about how it's bigger than the original Xbox controller. I'm a little surprised about that actually. I mean, this thing does have a screen that's larger than an iPhone built into it, so it pretty much has to be big.

I actually prefer the Dual Shock controller, as it gave me a multitude of uniform buttons in a comfortable design that I could easily manipulate along with a D-pad I liked. The PS2's analog sticks felt more comfortable than the original PlayStation's. I don't like the PS3's controller as much, as I dislike the hanging L2 and R2 buttons.

I've played them both, albeit scarcely, and didn't notice the difference.
