Do you collect anything else other than games?

Anything that is gaming related that doesn't fit well anywhere else

I have a bunch of movies and other niche items. One day when I have the space and setup I may start a vinyl collection.

I have every WWF/E PPV (with cases and artwork) on DVD - either UK Silvervision re-releases or US copies. Also have every WCW PPV from '96-'01 and just about every DVD compilation set released by the WWE since they started.

comics, retro horror mags, Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorabilia

I have a DVD collection with 500+ titles or so... but with Netflix, and torrents for the most obscure stuff - I haven't purchased a film in ages.

I use to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards. No longer do but the shoebox of cards is still sitting on my shelf completely ignored. I also have a small (Like 4 and a half shelves full) collection of books. A very small collection of non-anime DVDs/Blu-rays. And last but not least the one I've started most recently (And am in fact putting the second most effort into), an anime DVD/Blu-ray collection consisting of three DVDs with a fourth taking its own sweet time coming in the mail.

That sounds rather restrictive. If I were you I wouldn't limit myself to only his mom, I would go for the panties of any attractive woman around. And as a matter of fact, why stop at panties? Have you considered keeping a photo album of secretly taken pictures? Preferably whilst in the shower or sunbathing or some other such event.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Its interesting to see what type of things people are collecting! For those who collect comic books, where do you start? I was thinking of starting a collection but it seems pretty impractical to start collecting at book #XXX(triple digit) when its almost impossible to start from the beginning.

For comics, it really varies since there are numerous practical starting points within each series. For more info on whichever ones you have in mind, Google is a great resource.

You'd be surprised at what back-issues you could find at a good local shop though, and of course there's always the internet, which is GREAT as far as buying lots is concerned. There are collections, and anthologies you can purchase in graphic novel form as well.

I'd recommend going to a shop nearby, taking a look, and picking up a book or two that catch your eye. Most well-written books tend to try and catch new readers up to speed within the first few pages anyhow.

Hope that helps. :)

Been thinking about collecting as about collecting as a hobby as I am just getting back in to game collecting. Sometimes I can't help but to think of it as a waste. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but it I can't shake that guilty pleasure feeling.

I think part of the thing about collecting I enjoy the most is the hunt. I am obsessed with finding deals on the stuff I want.

I collect a few things. I'm a bit obsessive about my hobbies.

Before I ever collected games, I collected comics; although I was still gamer then, just not a collector of games in the same way I am today. I still collect comics and still make it the comic shop every Wednesday for new comic releases. I collect Marvel and DC Comics and my collection stretches from the mid-70s to current. I am nearing 4,000 individual issues now, and about 50 Graphic Novels/Trades. All bagged and boarded.

I also collect comics cards. Well, I did. Not so much anymore because they've pretty much stopped being made. But at one point I did. I have like 4 binders full, one binder is a gigantour super-sized binder. It's mostly 90s Marvel and DC Comic comic cards as well as a 5th binder just for Star Trek cards from the 90s. I have a number of full-sets and rares.

I also collect DVDs. Specifically wrestling (WWE/TNA/WCW) DVDs and super-hero movies/cartoons. I do have plenty of movies too, but my collection has focused more on the super-hero and wrestling stuff.
