Am I the only one that finds this article unprofessional?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one.

IGN had credibility? Weren't they partially a uhh..."picture" website for years?
You mean they specialized in video game screenshots? Or do you mean porn?

Porn. I seem recall them having a lot of ads on there game section linking over to their "babes" section. I don't know if they still do or if they have that section any more.

It seemed pretty cruddy of them. Using google they are near the top of the search results for most game cheat/guide/tip searches, and even if it was a kids game they still had that stuff around.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

I haven't read an article at IGN for at least 10 years now. I remember IGN being my favorite website when the N64 was new but somewhere along the way, something went wrong and I stopped visiting altogether.

BUT THE SOCIAL PRESSURE!!!! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MOVE MY E-PENIS AROUND THEN?????!?!?!

Less IGN, more independent blogs =P

that image seems a bit unfair tbh. Whilst their rating for GodHand was awful, it's a bit presumptuous to assume Imagine Party Babiez is a bad game they rated well. Havign seen that game streamed (for a joke, based on that image nonetheless - they played God Hand first), it turned out that it was a decent quality party game obviously aimed at a young audience. The person streaming even admitted that IGNs rating of it probably wasn't far off.

Of course, I'm not defending IGN, they're awful. But I'm sure people can find a better comparison than that - they gave an OK game an OK rating.

When they stopped being N64.com and became IGN64.com? Thats when I stopped reading.

yeah they still have girls on there. But it's not porn. I don't really see the big deal. Think of IGN like Maxim Magazine but with more a focus on games.
