I would hope it's only a small fraction of the game. And I will admit that just watching it gave me a feeling of "oh shit, how will I get out of this alive", and any game that can give me a visceral experience like that is alright in my book. If you've lived through that sort of thing though, I'm suprised you would want to play through it in a game. What??? So, you're saying Wii and Wii U would be easier to use than a normal controller??? No, it's quite the opposite. Yep, I have no doubt that we will see lots of interconnectivity and cross play between the PS3 and Vita. And who says you will need to buy two different games all of the time? What's to stop a developer from releasing a PS3 game with a DLC Vita counterpart included for free? Another huge benefit is that the Vita is a console on its own. It isn't tethered to the PS3 as the WiiU's controller appears to be. I can take the Vita with me and it acts independently. I think that is where the market is headed. Did anyone see Apple's keynote yesterday? Hell, this isn't an entirely new concept since the PSP sort-of could do it with remote play.
The only benefit I see from forcing the WiiU's tablet as a system dependent controller (again, this is what it appears to be) is that it will force developers to make use of it more often. With the Vita, developers can "take it or leave it". With the WiiU's controller, it's there all the time with every console. Developers can more consistently design concepts around it. It worked with the Wii and motion control. I think it's going to come down to price for the WiiU.
