E3 2011
Re: E3 2011
Admittedly though when I'm told I'm getting a new trilogy only to see it's Halo being remade...well, that kinda irks me about modern gaming.alienjesus wrote:I entirely disagree.
Let's consider it this way guys, gaming isn't dead but the focus of real innovation has changed. Instead of it being software based, most devs seem to be pretty confident as to how things work. We know how an FPS or a 3D platformer will behave. Now the real innovation will have to come from the hardware, which in turn may lead to new innovation in the software. Think about how difficult things were when games transitioned from 2D to 3D, how whole genres changed. Motion controls have been the next big transition, but they're still changing over hardware-wise. I expect the software will start changing and innovating in a few years again.

Dude, there's no way it will be less than $300. You'll be lucky if the controller alone costs that much. But, you can wish for whatever you want I guess. I'd also like the controller to double as a Rumba vaccum cleaner when I'm not playing games and to have the console make popcorn and toast based on a hunger sensor, but it's not likely to happen.darthmunky wrote:This is the deal breaker for me. If it is compatible with GameCube games and controllers and costs less than 300$, I will buy it.

What's the online strategy? Nintendo needs to take some pointers from LIVE.
I really, really, really want to see the console detailed.

I just read that article you linked and wow... I thought that game was dl only for handhelds...gtmtnbiker wrote:Link's Awakening is now available for the Virtual Console. The latter is a surprise since I don't think there are any GBC games on the Wii VC.

They're doing a HD remake of the first Halo.
They're also doing an entirely new Halo trilogy. Meanwhile Bungie is off doing something entirely different.

Ah, see, I thought they had said they were doing a new trilogy and then it was only the original three Halo games remade in HD. I guess I misunderstood.isiolia wrote:?Ack wrote: Admittedly though when I'm told I'm getting a new trilogy only to see it's Halo being remade...well, that kinda irks me about modern gaming.

Yeah, there were two different tailers. one of the 10th anniversary of halo 1 and then a teaser for halo 4 (and the new trilogy)Ack wrote:Ah, see, I thought they had said they were doing a new trilogy and then it was only the original three Halo games remade in HD. Re: E3 2011
Well, I have almost zero interest in the Wii-U. Why do we need a controller that's bigger than the console? And I thought the Saturn 3D controller was a bit much...
Re: E3 2011
We may have our differences on Vita, Wii-U, and Kinect, but can we all agree that the best part out of all of the major E3 conferences was the Zelda Symphony Orchestra?
