Think about a game like Afrika or Pokemon Snap with the new controller. Add in a Balance board and well, Im liking where this is going.

Welcome to modern gaming.
I know I know.

Wouldn't it be bold though if one of the big guys came to an E3 with nothing but new games and absolutely no sequels?

Yeah I know what you mean but all of those are just meh sequels to already modern games. I mean like sequels to classic super nintendo games with classic 2d snes graphics. thats what i want. basically i just wanted a super nintendo 2.

I dunno where this is from, but it seems legit. No hardware specs, but it's a few details at least.
Also, should have seen it coming... bye-bye GameCube compatibility it seems.

If they gave all the specs up front, it'd give MS and SONY a year to push out a competitive product. Given that Microsoft is banking so much on Kinect, it makes sense that Nintendo says, "Motion control? Did it... onto pave the way for you schmo's. See you next year."
'cept that you can already do -some- of what they showed with a PSP and PS3 (remote play, access media, etc), nevermind what Sony can probably build for the PS3/Vita (it'd cost a -ton- but they could do it).
true, didn't much consider ps3/psp(or vita) combo. i would think they would implement something similar with some firmware update or something to stay competitive.

As publicly traded companies, they wouldn't stay "big guys" for long with that strategy. The trick is a mix of old and new, and lately there's very little new.

Thankfully someone here is happy about it. I'm not the only one here.

Seriously, why so negative? The name sucks, sure, but why exactly is this SUCH a bad thing besides the lack of specs. Am I just a dolt? Because I'm not getting the negativity here.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

So wait, this thing isn't only usable with all the Wii peripherals (meaning the classic controller), it's fully backwards compatible with all Wii games? What about Gamecube games and controllers?

Looking at the specs posted above, it only mentions compatibility with wii 12cm discs and other proprietary 12cm discs... no mention of GCN support

I just see Four Swords and Pacman Vs making a big come back at my house over the next year in anticipation.
