Cleaning a Plasma Screen

Post by Kevman »

Title pretty much explains it all. All I know is not to use any paper products of water to clean it. I heard alcohol is OK but I'm not sure. I want to use some kind of cleaning solution because it has some nasty fingerprints on it.

Make sure you use distilled water. You don't want it to leave any precipitate when it dries.

Samsung Plasmas and LCDs come with a microfiber cloth for use with water only. Using any other chemical voids your warranty, and can cause a fog to develop under the screen. That being said, I successfully used half alcohol half distilled water on CRTs and non Samsung LCDs
