Least favorite parts of your favorite games

Post by insanecow0 »

The sliding character puzzles of the first Fatal Frame come to mind, so tedious. The Warterloo level of Psychonauts is also very annoying. As well as the blood maze in Max Payne. So frustrating.

I love Mega Man games, but I hate fucking spikes. I don't really like any instance-death stuff like that. Makes me nervous and I end up killing myself more than I should.

Carnival Night Zone.

Stupid Circuit board puzzles in Timesplitters 2. (I gave up on the game at the part where bunches of copies of the guy are coming out and there's more and more circuit puzzles)

Repetitive parts of Jak 2 (shooting 20000 dudes showing up at the pier)

Yeah that was really annoying, wasn't their something like that in Timesplitters 3 as well? I might be getting them mixed up.

The Fourside Department Store in Earthbound. You lose your mage and you fight enemies that are a step above anything you'd been facing previously. Moonside's enemies aren't nearly as bad. I also hate Onette when you have to retrieve the meteorite fragment because the enemies take a turn for the nasty again. Exploding enemies and guys with Starstorm are not fun.

Infinite continues are such a blessing. That or save states within emulation.

In fact, anyone who ever created instant death traps with limited continues should be tortured in hell for all of eternity(like whoever worked at Rare during the era of the Battletoads games)

That one circus tent battle in shining force legacy of great intention. I always seemed to be a step behind the enemies at that point.

I know other people who don't like this zone as well. I like it though. I think it was all the fun I had gambling in it.
