Turbo Grafx16

So whats the consensus on this machine? I love it...
It's one of the systems I never had as a kid, and then I stumbled across a few consoles several years back. Great for filling in that missing childhood link!
Vigilante is where it's at! :)

I bought one because I hadn't experienced one when I was growing up.
It sits in my closet all alone and forgotten...

It's tied as my favorite system of all time. The top of my list is the Sega Saturn and the Hudon/NEC Turbo Grafx-16/PC Engine.

I'm with raz, I've never seen one. I've contemplated buying one of these core systems, but I'm just worried about spending too much money on the system, games, etc. If a deal came my way though, I would certainly consider it. I have an emulator on my MacBook and I dig the games that were recommended on RB's "Hidden Gems" list.

I could've bought a TG-16 a bunch of times, but didn't. The cd attachment is super hard to find, so I thought I'd wait for and get a TurboDuo....but eeaah gads they don't come cheap.

This is definatly the next system I want to get. They've got some awesome and bizzare titles.

for me this was a rare console and wanted one since i saw them on magazines and tv growing up. never saw one or new someone that ever saw one until i got it last year. there alot of great games, be sure to read up on it before if you are gonna buy one. If you wanna play jap games better get the pc engine. I had the luck of finding a turbografx with cd addon not the turboduo which is more expensive, and don't know yet if i'll mod it in the future to play some of the cooler cd games but i'm glad to have one and happy with the games I have. Also backups run fine can't complain, maybe just need a turbo tap and an extra controller to be able to play with someone. :D
