You're right around the corner from half way. There's an awesome new time period coming up, and you're getting to the point where cool stuff is happening left and right. Its only gonna get better from here!

How did you do in the battle you just finished? A lot of people have difficulties with that one on their first time through.

I died for the first time in the game on my first attempt. Learned from my mistakes and kicked ass on the second. :D

First version of Sigma, use the flame riser weapon. Whenever he says 'Whoa' rush as far over towards him as you can. He'll miss every time.

Second version, use the electric web weapon or Mega Buster. The key to that fight is to time the use of the hover boots so that you can float over his laser attacks. Be sure to dash beneath him every time he shifts position on the screen.

Third / Fourth versions: Mega Buster. For the Sentinel form, climb up to the top of the 3 heads and shoot him in the face. He'll telegraph pretty loudly when he is going to attack and you should be able to move out of the way. For the weird 'face in the ground' mode, rush over about 75% of the way to the right. He'll then either try to suck you in or blow you away. Either way, you'll be in a good position to resist being damaged while shoot him in the face.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think I will give this a shot this year.

1. BlazBlue Continuum Shift II
2. Tales of Vesperia
3. Star Ocean: Second Evolution
4. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
5. Mega Man X

That should be good for now.

I hate to be the asshole that keeps bringing this up, but are all of these "classics"? I mean BBCS2 just came out like a week ago...

Neither is OP's Fallout New Vegas, but he put it on his list. They're not necessarily classics, just games I want to finish. Also, BBCS2 is amazing. Yeah, it can't be a classic so early, but it is one of the best portable fighters I have played so far, nearly reaching the quality of SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color lineup.

Ah, my bad. Last year it was focused exclusively on "classic" games that you should have played/beaten but haven't. I see that this year the OP has included a few recent games as well...
