PSP Owners: Brave Story will be removed from PSN soon

Post by johnblade »

XSeed's Twitter just let us know about this:

"ALERT! - Brave Story: New Traveler will no longer be available for DL on PSN after a few more days due to expired licensing issues. Buy now!"

It is $9.99 and uses 147 MB.

For people who own the psp, do buy it while you can as you won't have a chance next time.

One of the most boring RPGs on the service -- it won't be missed!

Well, it's "by the book" RPG game. I did have some fun with it but yea, it's an old style RPG so, not many people will like it.

And this kind of thing is why a digital only future bothers me.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

It's not so much that it's old style, it's just uninspired with very bland enemy design and dungeons. How many times can you grind the same old enemy before you just give up and go play something better? :p

As for Flake's comment on the digital future -- this has always been a problem (licensing), it's just that now games can be taken off their respective services for it. Someone needs to figuring out how to adapt the licensing to the digital age.

All I can say is that the company who make this, Game Republic, is officially dead. I own the UMD version so, I will have a physical copy for it and might play it again later on. Wish the company make some more unique game but that won't happens now.

Eh the UMD is 10 bucks at GameStop anyway. All these glowing reviews arent making me want to get a copy either. Plus my memory card is pretty full up what with the Welcome Back games for it :D
