Xbox High Definition AV Pack

Anyone have this? Was thinking of soft-modding my Xbox here soon and this would be great to have so I could hook it up to my HDTV and look decent. Reviews seem pretty positive at amazon and the prices don't seem that bad (component cables come with it too), but I figured I'd get your guys input as well in case there's maybe a better alternative or something.

I have one and it's worth it. Mine is not an official Microsoft product but it does work.
So the only caveat I have about buying from Amazon is whether you're getting a knock-off or an offical MS product. I suggest sending an email to the seller and asking them to check. Perhaps they could send a picture?

The AV pack is good if you want the optical audio plus component video.

If you just want cables only, then I would be willing to sell mine.

My component cable comes with an optical audio port (but it didn't come with a fiber cable). Not sure if all of them do though.

I dunno if they're official or not, but those don't come with an optical audio port (if you were concerned about one). The component cable makes a very big difference by the way. I would certainly suggest getting one.

Yeah I'm not worried about optical audio. Good to hear it makes a difference, I slapped in Invisible War earlier and it looked like mud was melting down my screen.

Definitely think I'll order one then! Unless you have a better offer gtmtnbiker? Personally I've always had fine luck with amazon myself.

I don't think any of them came with the optical cable. That's interesting that yours came with the optical audio port. Was it a third party product?

It looks like they're selling them for $11 and change shipped. I can do $10 shipped. Mine is not official which is same as the Amazon one. Send me a PM if you want to do it. It's in good condition and worked the last time I used them (before I got the AV box).

The disadvantage of not getting the AV mod pack is that you won't get any surround sound (5.1) so I would suggest holding off if you think you might want that in the future.
