Games you regret selling

Post by insanecow0 »

Fortunately a lot of games I regretted selling I bought again (like Second Sight, Mirror's Edge, Mercs 2 etc) but there are still some I have not, like Under The Skin (well I gave it to a friend and I think he sold it) and Space Channel 5 Special Edition. I hope I'll be able to snatch those up again soon.

My entire complete boxed US SNES collection. (I sold it to one buyer.)

There are a lot of gaming purchases and sales I regret over the years, but nothing was worse than that. I needed the money sorely at that point in my life.

OUCH on Suikoden 2 there. haha...

For me, like 10 years ago I remember selling 30 some N64 games when the PS2 first came out... and I bought like Armored Core 2 and maybe one other game with all that credit. My dad always made fun of me when I was young and traded stuff in saying I'd regret it, boy was he right. I think this was literally the last time I traded in a lot of games though, maybe did a few more here and there for awhile but I'd say it's probably been at the least ~6 years now since I've traded anything in and I never will again.

There were a lot of SNES games I traded in as well, but I'm pretty sure I've re-purchased every single one I did that with. I know I never sold any guides, but I've sadly lost some with all the moves my family has gone through probably somewhere down the line. The Super Mario RPG guide comes to mind.

But yeah, my N64 suffered the most damage. I only have a dozen or so games now and would love to have those 30 some games I traded in back... lol.

I grew up through that era, the ones I didn't buy straight off the shelf I traded other people for. There were a small handful (less than 10) not complete, but some of them (like the competition carts) didn't have boxes as far as I knew.

Saturn games I sold foolishly were resident evil, duke nukem, sonic jam, clockwork knight 2, center ring boxing, and hang on gp

Master system games were sonic the hedgehog, spiderman, strider, eswat, joe montana football, and slap shot

nes: mega man 2, legend of zelda, mario brothers 3,

gameboy/gbc games were resident evil gaiden and metroid fusion

Now granted they are not super rare or valuable, but I miss playing them and no stores carry these items anymore, ESPECIALLY the retro ones. Seems nowadays ps2 is considered retro...

So many, mostly RPG's, I regret selling my PAL copy of FFVI on the PS1, all my old adventure games, most of my old NES stuff.

Slowly picking up pieces I let go in the past.
