Re: Alice: Madness Returns
I find the dark take on Alice intriguing. It's similar to what they do with well known fairy tale characters in the Fables comic book series. Some of which are given very dark and disturbing twists on their well known tales. I seem to like this sort of thing. B.B.Hood, who is basically Little Red Hood minus her sanity, is my favorite Darkstalkers character
It's cool that the original game will be included, very nice way to reach out to console fans. I never did like playing that game on a mouse and keyboard anyway

I've never played the original but I've heard it is spectacular. My wife just saw the youtube trailer and now she can't wait for it to come out.
I wonder how well the original will port over to the consoles. If it's done well then I have a difficult decision to make as to get it for pc and play on a gamepad or get it for the PS3/360.

The original came out in 2000. Maybe with the new version coming out, the original will get looked at by a homebrew coder. Quake already made it to the Dreamcast, would love to see this one on a console.

Is this standard or is it a pre-order bonus of some sort?Gamerforlife wrote:It's cool that the original game will be included...

I've got it on the PC. The set pieces are gorgeous, and there's some exploration for hidden optional things relating to the game's backstory. The PC version is somewhat buggy; going to the pause menu tends to leave the cursor on your screen (distracting) and a couple of the button assignments can't be reassigned without editing config files (one due to a bug, one because they just never thought to let you). But the actual combat is fun, and overall I'm enjoying it so far.

Anyone get the console version and confirm the original game part of it?
