Things to do in NYC

Post by winds »

Hey guys,
I will be taking a short 3 day trip to New York City with a few friends in 3 weeks. None of us have ever been before. I was wondering if you guys knew about some really cool and unique things to do there :).

So far I have a few things on my list besides the obvious buildings and tourist attractions:

- Fao Schwarz Toy Store (I think this was the toy store featured in the movie Big and also Home Alone 2 as Duncans Toy Chest?)
- Please Don't Tell Bar - apparently it has a gag where you have to enter a phone booth and call the bar tender, in which the back of the phone booth opens up revealing the bar. Sounds unique :)
- Going on a tour of Rockefeller Center
- Bamn automat restaurant - a modern take on the automat type of restaurant, sounds unique
- Nintendo World (obvious choice :P)

Do you guys have any other cool and unique suggestions? For restaurants too.
We will be doing the obvious stuff like Time Square and Statue of Liberty as well.
Thanks!
Nintendoes what Nintendon't!

Nathans Hot Dog and Pizzeria. If you like Art go to the Met.
Check the Retro Game Store List in the forums.

The Museum of Natural History is great too. I've been there like a dozen times and it never gets old.

Pick a fight with a stranger in a dark alley.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The Central Park Zoo is nice.

There's a Toys-R-Us store in Times Square that has an indoor ferris wheel ride

There's an M&M store where you can pick out different colors & varieties of M&Ms by the pound.
