For the Xbox 360 and PS3.
"Konami emphasized that both HD remakes are more than just emulator-based updates. The games are being "optimized and rebuilt" for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with a new user interface customized for HD resolutions. Konami has also redrawn the games' 2D art, effects, and fonts; improved audio quality; and included trophies and achievements. Force feedback and right analog stick functionality have also been added."
Sounds damn nice.
Though I must admit I know nothing about the Zone of the Enders games other than the fact that they're mech games.

I played the first Zone of the Enders game in the early 2000's and loved it. Konami's got my monies with these remakes.

All you need to know is that Zone of the Enders 2 was made by Hideo Kojima and is truly one of the most epic, adrenaline filled, memorable action games of all time. It is a game I consider essential for any action, anime or mech fan to play. There are moments that simply NEED to be experienced in that game like taking on a whole fleet of aerial battleships with your lone mech, or fighting a boss in the dark or fighting another boss that looks like the deathstar or a big, huge epic war that feels ripped right out of a Dynasty Warriors game

I've never played a ZoE game but I own the first one. It's on my to-do list for sure. I suppose I'll hold off on playing it and see what the deal is with these HD ports (although I'm sure they'll just be direct ports with improved visuals).
As for the MGS HD remakes, unfortunately I've been cursed with a disease that forces me to buy any thing with "Metal Gear" in the title.
How about a thread for the Devil May Cry HD remakes?

METAL GEAR SOLID HD COLLECTION?! *has heart attack*
Only one thing really worries me:
Only one thing really worries me:
I hope that's a typo or misconception. I want Subsistence, not Snake Eater. And I want the 2-disc version of Subsistence, not the 1 disc version from that MGS collection they released for PS2 back in 2008. And I'd also prefer they used Substance for MGS2, not Sons of Liberty. But I'd buy this even if it was just MGS2 in HD, and nothing else. I too have brunoafh's disease. I mean, I only bought a PSP for the MGS games! The other stuff is just fringe benefits. The MGS HD Collection, which is due this November, will include high-definition updates for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the highly regarded recent PSP release, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

You should also want Substance instead of Sons of Liberty.

It's too difficult to upscale PS1 games to HD. They would have to go full-on remake or include Twin Snakes. Option A isn't cost effective, and Option B is highly undesirable.AppleQueso wrote:wait hold on...
no MGS1?

Twin Snakes wasn't bad. They just went a little over board with some of the cutscenes.brunoafh wrote:It's too difficult to upscale PS1 games to HD. Although, with retarded asshat crazy shit cut scenes MGS4 had, Twin Snakes fits right in these days.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

No it's not, it just wouldn't look near as good as the ps2 games. Case in point: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3361389/New%20F ... aaaaaa.PNGbrunoafh wrote:It's too difficult to upscale PS1 games to HD.
