I've always thought that box art was insanely boring, haha.

I really liked the concept and ideas in Friday the 13th. Yes its poorly desgined and its execution is slapdash at best, but it was still fun, at least for a while. The jason alarm will drive you insane after a while, i dont care how hardcore you are.

For the Saturn I loved, absolutely loved, Corpse Killer Graveyard edition. I remember ordering it through the mail from Funcoland when you could still do that.

I have played the Bouncer way more times than I should have. I beat the game over and over to see all the stat increases and branching storylines. It's a stupid game, but there is some weird charm to it for me. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I've probably beat it about 20 times, but right now I couldn't tell you for sure if I've sold it or if I still have it. I honestly can't remember without going to dig through my collection to check, and I wouldn't really care either way.

Loved that game myself. From the little I can recall of the story/dubbing it was epicly bad, but it was pretty dang fun. May as well have been Fighting Force 3!

This is an interesting topic! I think many people, specially many critics, fail to understand that you can like stuff of poor quality, specially since many concepts simply don't have better options out there!

Take Odama for example. It's unique. It's not the best game around from what I have heard but it's alone in it's genre and, thus, has more chances to be played by me that Call of Duty because if I want a FPS I have far better options. If I like to play pinball with a microphone Odama is my only choice.

I haven't played Odama, I just think it's a good example.

Me too. I love F13th on Nes. I just played the Commodor 64 version for the 1st time and that one sucks!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I suppose it is a little more common to have the urge to play a shooting game than it is to play a voice-activated real time strategy pinball simulator.

Odama is a good example of a clearly unique, not completely well designed, but still fun to play game.

That or you were stuck with what other people got for you at one stage of your life, and had to learn how to deal with what you had.

Dont listen to Ack. I know for a fact that he plays Daikatana, and quit out on the last stage with his buddies because he couldnt handle it. John Romero made him his bitch and crashed his game.

I only know this since I was also playing.
