PSN Store is back up again. Apparently.

Shame, I'd have loved to see Sony's reaction at E3 if this was still ongoing.

Some good looking additions this week too! A PS3/PSP release of Bonk's Adventure! Sega Rally ONLINE!

I downloaded the Motorstorm Apocalypse demo this morning and quite enjoyed it - I'll probably pick the game up when it can be found under $30. Anyone else download anything new and interesting?

So did anyone download any of the free games for the PSN outage yet?

I downloaded something called 'work'. It's kind of boring... I process a lot of paper work and drink large amounts of coffee. I'm pretty sure this demo is hazardous to my health. It does pay me, though. Which is kind of nice.

I have heard that it could be another 30 days before the free content is offered. I would assume they are waiting until after E3. This is either to prevent the network from being crippled again from all of the excessive downloading, or to allow people to partake in possible new PSN+ content that may be announced at E3.

I really hope they figure out some way to expand the offerings, since many of their regular customers will have all or almost all of the games they announced. Even if they limit it to Sony-backed titles, there are still a good many older games that I'd download for free if given the chance (e.g. MAG, some of the Pixel Junk games I don't have, the Ratchet and Clank games, Siren, Warhawk, etc.). MAG would actually be a really good game to include since it requires online - what better way to show their network is back to full force than to give away a highly-touted FPS that would instantly become populated?

yeah that was discussed on a podcast I listened to recently. Was it on CAGcast? Anyway, it does make a lot of sense. It's a game that hasn't really sold a ton of copies, and it's so online heavy it's like "HOORAY MAG WORKS AGAIN! PSN RULES! YAY!"

Yup, I think they did talk about this idea on there. It's a good one!

Yeah, they have a chance to make good at E3. Announce some surprises to the loyal customers that weren't initially announced in the Welcome Back package. They should also pull a 1995 - shuffle some papers on stage and then say, "NGP (or whatever it's called by then), $249."
