Re: Batman: Arkham City(New Trailer 6/1/11)
Sooo, is it a coincidence that Catwoman is playable and that she's also going to be in the next Batman movie?
Hmmm....

Hmm. Perhaps. Catwoman's a lot more aerobatic than Batman, so it looks like she might have some interesting gameplay. And to tell the truth though, I'm just happy that Robin's nowhere in sight.Gamerforlife wrote:Sooo, is it a coincidence that Catwoman is playable and that she's also going to be in the next Batman movie?

I think a Nightwing appearance would be sweet though. I wouldn't even mind just getting him on the com like they did with Oracle in the last game. Maybe have him scouting and relaying info to Bats. I'd love to walk into an area and see a bunch of unconscious thugs who just got schooled by NightwingMichi wrote:Hmm. Perhaps. I'm interested anyway because its Arkham, but this trailer leaves me kinda cold I'm afraid.
Catwoman has always bored me. It actually disappoints me that she's playable. There's not much else I can say about her.
I'd much rather have Nightwing. Ah well, it is what it is.

I'm rather neutral on Catwoman. I've never disliked her but she's not one of my favorites either. I think she serves a purpose though, because like a lot of Bat villains she mirrors a part of Batman's personalityCFFJR wrote:I'm interested anyway because its Arkham, but this trailer leaves me kinda cold I'm afraid.

It does bug me though that a lot of movies and games ignore the "Bat Family". We got a Catwoman movie, but no Batgirl movie? and it's cool that we got Oracle in Arkham Asylum but having Batgirl would have been cool. It doesn't even have to be Barbara Gordon. How bout Cassandra Cain? There's a way you can use Batman's proteges and have them be cool. Using Nightwing instead of Robin is just one example

Wouldn't it be cool to see Talia Algul in a game or movie? She's so much more interesting as a love interest. I plug this book all the time but she is awesome in Justice League Tower of Babel, which is really a Batman story

I wouldn't mind a Nightwing cameo. He tends to get overlooked a bit in anything other than the comic books, and I'd much rather he make an appearance than Robin. Plus, his character just sort of fits better into the whole feel of the games than the little flashy, tight wearing teen would. But then, Catwoman sort of has a similar feel, so I'm not sure (I'm also not sure if I like those goggles she's wearing. I kind of like them....aaaaand I kind of don'tGamerforlife wrote:I think a Nightwing appearance would be sweet though. A Nightwing cameo would be good though. And who knows. Maybe they'll give him one. I know I was pleasantly surprised when I heard Batman calling Oracle in the first game, so maybe they'll throw him a bone.
Loved Cassandra Cain. And I agree. The Bat Family needs more love. And since the setting isn't as isolated as Arkham Asylum, than I would think it would make sense for the big guy to have some help (From someone other than, it seems, Catwoman). Doesn't look like it from the trailers though. Perhaps if this game does well though, we'll see more "Bat Family" members.Gamerforlife wrote:....It does bug me though that a lot of movies and games ignore the "Bat Family". Turns out Selina Kyle will be in the Batman:Year one animated movie, played by the lovely Eliza Dushku. Is it Catwoman fever right now? She's everywhere
