I heard somewhere that the illustrator had a bit of a "mental break." Poor guy. Stress'll do that to you.
Yeah, there's a few manga serieses that have stopped that I wish were still going. He Is My Master because the husband and wife team got divorced, and NANA because the author was hospitalized and hasn't picked it up again since being discharged.

Nana is one of my all time favorites. I even cosplay Shin. Perhaps I will post a pic later. :D Best wishes to the manga-ka. Hope she decides to finish Nana, but her health is most important.

At least they have excuses. Then there's Togashi and Hunter x Hunter, from what one of my friends told me the recent (and I hate it) 100+ some chapter arc going on in the manga has been ongoing for 8 years now, because of how many breaks and years he takes off randomly for no real reason.

Not that a bunch of dudes want to see another dude's cosplay. But yay Nana! :D I have the Blackstone cherry cigs and everything. This is a non-spiky haired variation of Shin. I have a spiky wig too.

I got the Revolutionary Girl Utena set from right stuff, and man i forgot how funky that show is. So cool. Can't wait for the other two sets to come out.

Heh. Yeah. I'm all for taking breaks, especially hearing how hard some of these artists work, but after so much time, it just seems sort of ridiculous. I mean, it's one thing to not finish projects when it's on your own time, but it's not so cool when you're actually getting paid to do it and end up leaving tons of people hanging :?

It can be a little 'off' sometimes, can't it  I've got the old sets, but man, those new ones look sweet. I'm actually tempted to get it again. But I think I'll wait to see if they pull out a Blu-ray release. THAT I might splurge on. Probably not going to happen though. :?

Well they are remastered sets. They have comparison videos up on the utena site if you want to see. Blows my old hk out of the water.

I forgot how many times Anthy gets slapped in the first episode.

I need to pick up the movie as well. Nothing beats that ending.

The sad thing is I don't even think he's that great of an artist. Rave Master (picked this one up recently, loving it!), Kenshin, Recca, just about any other shounen I've read bits of looks way better than HxH. lol, and there are literally times when he just gets outright lazy and draws some horrible sketches that look like something a kid drew.

His explosions look like somebody just had a heart attack while holding a pen. The chapters are terribly inked and shaded and literally half-finished. He only puts out just enough to not get fired. That's why the nickname Hiatus x Hiatus was given.

PS- I downloaded the slayers complete collection. I'll probably livestream it for everybody here.

The sad thing is how much of a huge seller Hiatus x Hiatus (I'm not going to forget that one, haha) still is. And how he still gets popular enough votes to be ranked among Oda and other mangaka whom actually deserve those awards and such. It's just hilarious to think HxH started up the same time around One Piece did, and One Piece is about twice as long (300+ chapters) and counting.

I just don't get it, this current 100 some chapter HxH arc that is literally a third of the series is just downright terrible and has gone in some many bad directions it's unfixable (especially after the latest 10 chapters). Characters have been left behind and just, wow. I loved everything before, but I'm pretty much ready to give up on it now.
