Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I move that we clear lisalover of all charges, and instead begin a case against Team Ninja

I call to the witness stand, Tomonobu Itagaki

I second.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Mr. Tomonobu Itagaki... You have been compared to George Lucas for your ability to destroy once beloved franchises with terrible sequels.

I present to you, exhibit A:

How do you plead against these allegations?

While we are on a court room kick, I just want an excuse to post this image:

Well hey, Ninja Gaiden/Black/Sigma was very awesome. I also like his blunt attitude and how he always bashes post-Tekken 3 Tekken.

edit: Also, Itagaki didn't even have anything to do with Other M anyway. He left Team Ninja like three years ago.

Yeah Ninja Gaiden is one of my favorites from last gen.

Not to get too serious here though, as it isn't the threads intent... but yeah I always got a kick out of Itagaki myself. Any article or debacle with him that pops up online has always been very entertaining to me. And the sunglasses, lol.

With the story, cutscenes, and "Metroid" name removed, it might not have been that bad of a game.
I CHALLENGE YOU TO FINISH THIS VIDEO!
I hate you :(

Which is why I thought of him in a courtroom and laughed my ass off

Don't get me wrong, I think he's an idiot sometimes and he pisses me off sometimes. However, he's never boring.

Part of it is how heavy handed and ham fisted it is. The presentation is also an issue - a lot of times when the action is getting REALLY intense, it will stop you dead in your tracks and demand that you watch an unskippable cutscene or search an area for a minute, teeny, weeny little item that is hidden in the distance or behind a fucking rock.

The story literally holds the rest of the game hostage.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
