I've done some researching on the internet, and it appears the general consensus is ~500 for a mint 4 slot?
There's a guy not too far from me who is taking offers on a 4 slot that has a bit of paint peeling, but not too rough, no games. I offered him 300 for it, 350 delivered. Am I low balling him too much?
Thanks for the advice guys.
Neo Geo MVS Price Check?
Re: Neo Geo MVS Price Check?
Like a cab?
Does it have memory card reader? Those are about $100 separately.
If the monitor, board, and controls are in good shape then you are at a good deal. I would expect to play closer to $400-$500 if the components are in good shape.
You can repaint and get decals for next to nothing. There is someone at neo-geo.com that sells cab decals for really cheap.

I didn't ask about the memory card reader yet, I'll ask. I told him to take pictures of the guts and I'll post those when he gets back to me.
This is my first cab, I've always had a thing for neo geo games. My dad has a modest cab collection of a couple classics plus a couple other games. (pacman cocktail, dk, centipede)

I would say a Neo-Geo MVS in good condition ranges from $400-$500 on average which is what I paid for my cabinet.

Re: Neo Geo MVS Price Check?
I'd go check it out in person first and make sure it powers on, if there are no games you should get the service menu to come up.

I agree...fair price for "great" condition. You have to be the judge, sometimes you get a sleeper that just need to be cleaned off, other times the CRT has burn-in or water damage. At the auctions I attend, 4 slots go from 100-300, but most are is piss-poor shape.
