Yeah! At last a game I can play!

Yes, I can play Parodius. Not Gradius III, that fucker rapes me right at the first stage. I can tell it's very well designed but it's too hard for me.

Which Parodius game? Gojuko? Or the original?

me too. We should get a high score competition going again. As far as I know, the PS2/PSP ports are identical to the arcade if left on the defacult settings (the SNES port is not), so score comparisons should be easy.

correct. The SNES port of Gradius III is a totally different game. I'm actually playing the SNES versions of Gradius III and Parodius, but it's for uh... something else so I won't be writing about them in this thread. But yeah the PSP ports of Gradius/Parodius are arcade versions. Gradius III you will probably smoke me at. I have love/hate thing with most of the Gradius games... I love shmups, Gradius hates me. :)

Will be on board with this one for sure. I have the PSP version. I don't have Parodius though.

as far as I know, DSH is like myself in the thought-process that default is default for a reason. So we both usually play games on whatever default setting they have. Right, D?

Some shmup ports "default" improperly though, and the actual "default" (what it was in the arcade) is hard mode, or just called arcade mode. Not sure if this is the case with Gradius III though.
