So?

Some guy decided to go above his station and pretend to play renegade detective?

If the guy didn't have the sense to have house contents insurance then fool him. Who's the moron here? I mean cmon, he's already got a free xbox from his colleagues... Why pursue it any further?

I think the fake powerbook scam from years ago was much more interesting to watch unfold, This is just boring...

Except for you have to pay deductible on home insurance....
Plus, its more satisfying to not just let somebody get away with it.
I've had my car broken into a robbed, so I know the feeling.

I just don't get it...

I don't see why he's going through all this trouble...

I don't find it funny either...

I guess some things are better dealt with in private.

In all reality, he isn't going through that much effort.
The kid just made it relatively easy for him. combine that with people online that are helping him out.

As for the funny part, have you read through all of it? the fact that he went to sell the stuff at a nearby pawnshop even thought he gave plenty of tips that the stuff was stolen, the fact that he left a voicemail? watched his youtube videos? the pictures of him in a bubblebath? it all adds up to an entertaining situation...

Same here, but they didn't steal anything out of mine because I never leave anything of value in my car. I have $2 sunglasses, a small knife, a terrible ice scraper, a clipboard for filling out apps, and a very old coat. The only reason I was pissed was because they left my door open, and it rained from 4-8am that morning. Fucking savages.
