today i just hit up a lot of ska, since i never really ventured past reel big fish and less than jake. found some great stuff ska, and not ska related. the barrymores and mad caddie stand out in my mind. other than that been on an awesome gorillaz kick as of recently. demon days is my personal favorite album, but i love the self titled album and plastic beach almost just as much. then ventured deeper into some punk and found the adicts....personally i love them so far.

There is a lot of buzz surrounding Freddie Gibbs (rapper) and this song National Anthem (Fuck the World) caught me off guard. Just like "Wow, Why have I been just passing this by?"

Also, listening to Double 07 off of Curren$ys and producer Alchemist's Covert Coup mixtape. Still waiting on Muscle Car Chronicles to be released.

Lastly, Roc Marciano's song Ridin Around. It's reminiscent of that 'old school' hip hop feeling.

If your into Ska and haven't listened to Streetlight Manifesto you are totally missing out, they're probably the best I've ever heard. I case your too lazy to Youtube This is the first video I saw of them:

Dinosaur Jr's "You're Living All Over Me". all day, every day. dunno what it is, but this album is seriously all I want to listen to recently.

Japan has a great little "scene" for female metal bands currently. Galmet are another obvious one worth checking out if you haven't.
