Ticked: After taking four and a half hours to finally get the record on the Blue Table on Pokémon Pinball last night, I played again today. Third try, 9,826,605,250 points. That's nearly THREE TIMES the score that got me the record last night. An absolute shame this one can't be the one I'm sending in.

Smile: My 52 world records. It's still sinking in. Plus all the money we're getting for the IVGHOF. $1210.01 now! Plus I still owe $13 after saying that I'd donate a quarter for every record I got.

Ticked: The talking heads of Washington DC coming out to 'support' the troops on Memorial Day. The US is locked into three wars that largely have nothing to do with national security - people in uniform being maimed mentally and physically for no real reason than the political decisions of these irresponsible pricks.
We'd need a few less memorials if the people making decisions weren't so casual and careless with their use of the nations defense resources.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

What are the three wars that you're thinking of? Afghanistan & Iraq are two of them but what is the third?Flake wrote: The US is locked into three wars that largely have nothing to do with national security - people in uniform being maimed mentally and physically for no real reason than the political decisions of these irresponsible pricks.
I do agree that they were unnecessary. In any case, I do salute the men and women of the US Armed Forces who have served this country now and in the past.

He probably means Libya, which we aren't actually that involved in. So far as I know, we haven't had a single casualty.gtmtnbiker wrote:What are the three wars that you're thinking of? We do not have ground troops (for the most part) in Libya but we are on the hook for air support and UN financing.BoringSupreez wrote: He probably means Libya, which we aren't actually that involved in. So far as I know, we haven't had a single casualty.
We keep turning conflicts into moral stances - making it impossible to declare victory and go home. With the shambles our military is in after nearly a decade of counter-insurgent warfare, I shudder to think what would happen if something important were to occur where our military at full strength was required.

The Korean War, or roughly the first month to be exact.Flake wrote:We do not have ground troops (for the most part) in Libya but we are on the hook for air support and UN financing.BoringSupreez wrote: He probably means Libya, which we aren't actually that involved in. I have to admit that this is freaking me out. My twin sister is expecting and this image is stained permanently in my head. I think the entire situation is more tragic than the "open casket" issue. I feel so bad for the husband/father that woke up that morning excited and went to bed that night without either of them. SO sad.She went into early labor, lost her baby, then died shortly there after. The funeral is open casket, and she is holding the baby, and both will be buried together. It's going to be a while to get that image out of my mind.

Ticked: I went to the post office right as it was supposed to reopen after lunch hour. 20 minutes later, the post master still hadn't shown up. I had to just give up and try again later. Of all the times to be late to work, right after a holiday seems to me the worst time. If you just got an entire extra day off, shouldn't you make an effort to be on time the next day?
