Sonic 2 may be my favorite Genesis game of all time, but it is time to stop the bleeding!

It's a testament to the strength of the early Sonic games that people still love that character.

Word.

Well I just ran through most of the old ones a few weeks back anyways, but maybe I'll play Sonic CD again for the 1,000th time to celebrate!

Hmm I recently acquired Sonic CD for the PS2 via the Sonic Gems collection, perhaps I'll give it a play through. It still remains as the only Sonic game (with exception to few of the crappy spin offs and 3D games) that I haven't properly played.

And come on guys, Sega have done a lot of wrong with Sonic, but Sonic Colours was at least pretty awesome

The game was released on June 23rd, which is the first day I started my first job back in '06 lol. Don't know how I remember that. Anyway, S3&K is my all time favorite though I grew up with Sonic 2. Sonic Generations actually looks promising and fixes the crap that was in Sonic 4 (the close camera which didn't let you see two feet ahead of you, crap physics, and unrolling when in the air even while holding down. c'mon, who's idea was that? Green eyes don't count but there are retards who go to that extreme) and Sonic Colors was the first step in the right direction. This is coming from a guy who always sticks by the 16-Bit Sonics.
What a maneuver!

Did some of the people in this thread say Sonic is dead? Just look at Sonic Colors, probably in the top 5 sonic the hedgehog games of all time. Granted I never played Sonic CD or Knuckles Chaotix, I liked it more than Sonic The Hedgehog, though not as much as 2 or 3. He did go through a rough time though, Sonic Unleashed was horrible, and the other two Wii games firmly below average. I think Sonic Generations is going to be great, just like I did for Colors, being that I knew just how much this would impact and stun the entire sonic fanbase months before release. Granted I don't see Generations quite living up to Colors.

Yes we did. Perhaps it's a bit harsh. The handheld titles are still good as far as I know. The console games, on the other hand, have been on a rather sharp decline after Sonic Heroes came out, which I enjoyed. After that it's been games like Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog '06 and so on that I mostly haven't bothered to buy. Maybe Sonic Colors is a comeback. The last new Sonic game I played was Sonic and the Secret Rings which I haven't even made myself finish because I dislike it so much.

I think even moreso than the quality of the titles, the quantity of them is truly killing sonic for me. There's just such a ludicrous number, I don't know how anyone keeps up with all of them.

Then again, there was never a lack of sonic on Mega Drive or Game Gear either, so maybe i'm just tired of the series in general.
