Emulating Defender

Well, I solved my first problem. Now that I have it downloaded and extracted it says that it is not a vaild win32 application. What do i do now???

Sounds like you got it from a bum location. My advice would be to just sign up for a proper File Planet account. Either that or find a different Windows MAME port. There are several and they mostly operate the same way. MAMEUI/MAME32 is simply the most updated and most used.

There may be other arcade emulators that'll emulate Defender. Though Zophar's Domain is no longer updated, www.zophar.net may be worth a try anyway. Defender's been emulated longer than most games.

I did get it from fileplanet....Should I try to download it again. I click on the mameUI64.exe then it gives the the message posted above. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe you may have obtained the 64 bit version of MameUI, if you are still running a 32 bit version of Windows then that version will not work.

you have to download the correct version, and in your case it seems that it would be the 32-bit version of mameUI. It's the second link on the download-page.

EDIT. Too slow, tooo slooow. :D
