I totally agree, the ps2 is a good investment right now. . I think a lot of the rpgs for this system will slowly climb in price. Especially the games that didn't get a high printing.Reprise wrote:
Now's an awesome time to get into the PS2 though. Gamestation are pretty much giving away their preowned PS2 games. Generic sports titles and wrestling games etc can be picked up for 99p. Other less desired/more common titles can be picked up for '3 for £5 - or 2.99 each', and everything else is '3 for £10 - or 4.99 each.' I mean, seriously, I picked up Shadow of the Colossus, Ico and Persona 3 FES for £10 for the lot! How awesome is that?

I just wish Sony would get their heads outta their asses and bring back backwards compatibility on their new PS3's.
Why?
1. There's still a very strong demand for bc on the PS3
2. My PS2 that I've owned since 2002 is dying. It no longer plays CD-R's. And it only plays half of a DVD movie now
3. I still need to buy a PS3
Make it happen, Sony

I'm not sure there is a high demand. Even if there was, PS2s are now pretty cheap to pick up new or used.Weekend_Warrior wrote:I just wish Sony would get their heads outta their asses and bring back backwards compatibility on their new PS3's.

Sales increased after they cut BC. Their production costs went down by doing it. It would not make business sense for Sony to do this, especially since they are moving towards the PS4...

PS4 should be backwards compatible with PS2.

But not ps3.Ziggy587 wrote:PS4 should be backwards compatible with PS2.
It should play ps1, ps2, and ps4 games only.

At least they could cut out the option to make a PS2 memory card on the harddrive and stop teasing us for not having a backwards compatible model!I just wish Sony would get their heads outta their asses and bring back backwards compatibility on their new PS3's.

Haha wow you can still make a PS2 memory card on the non-BC models?

It does have a use, just a rather obscure use that most people won't ever use. If you have the memory card adapter thingy, you could use it to store PS2 saves you aren't using at the moment on your PS3, so that you only have to buy 1 PS2 memory card.Xeogred wrote:Yup.
