Sonic the Hedgehog debuted on the Sega Genesis 20 years ago in June 1991 and continues to appear in top-selling games made by Sega.

What a great game. As I mentioned here, it was the game that really got me obsessed with gaming.

Jumped the gun a bit there. At his best I prefer Sonic to Mario. Always seems like he had it the worst in his games out of all the platformer heroes, and he still pulls through.

Happy birthday Sonic the Hedgehog. We miss you.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles is my favorite. Tons of great levels to zip around in plus you can save and be Super Sonic! Woohoo! And then, of course, there is the never again seen Hyper Sonic with his level breaking double jump of doom.
