Jean Baudin: Plays 9-12 string bass, in a warr guitar style. I really love this guy's music, and he does some cool mario and zedla covers (which are not nearly as impressive as his actual music, but still awesome.

Mux Mool: A Dj that writes his music very technical. There is a live video of him mixing live, with starfox fighting andross going on behind him. I could listen to Skulltaste (his latest album) for hours on end and not get bored with it. This is perfect music to play Phantasy Star Online to :)

And, as always for me, Tool. Still, in my opinion, the greatest band to ever exist. I'm not saying most influential or anything, but in my eyes, no 4 people have come together and made such greatness. Danny Carey is such an insane drummer, and of course Maynard is all around great. I could go on for hours about single songs by them.

I recently discovered an artist called 80kidz.

I don't know what to call this, genre wise (some kind of electronic), and I know nothing about the artist other than they're out of Japan. I just know it makes my ears melt.

This is the song that got me started:

Arab Hertz Club

Plus more favorites of mine:

Weekend Warrior

Miss Mars
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r77ai2EI ... ure=artist
Red Star
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFUyck_T ... ure=artist
Frankie (This song is weird. Its also incredibly catchy. Listen to it more than once and see if it grows on you)

Anybody like these guys?

Also, consider this a "Moar liek this" post. I'm looking for recommendations.

Weezer covering Radiohead's Paranoid Android:

I give it thumbs up. I like both bands so this is win-win for me.

Ugh. I like me some vintage Weezer and I have been a giant Radiohead fan forever, but Rivers' voice cannot carry this song. The instrumentation is pretty well done, though.

I would agree that Rivers doesn't sing it as well, but I think the music is better than the original. I couldn't tell if this was on an upcoming album or just a one-off.

I've never been a fan of Bruno Mars but this video featuring Nimoy is awesome.
