Anytime a game has "Greatest Hits" on the box that only means the game sold well. After selling a certain amount Sony plants that on the box cover and drops the price to $30. It's exactly the same as the regular version. Now the Gold Edition for RE5 is an actual special edition that comes with free DLC already on the disc. Extra missions and stuff. If you ever see "Game of the Year Edition" on the front of the box that means the same thing. A special version with extra stuff in it.Jamisonia wrote:I want to get Resident Evil 5, whats the difference between the greatest hits and Gold editions?
As for games, if you like Resident Evil 5 get Dead Space. I honestly think that everything RE5 did wrong Dead Space did right. And everything RE5 did right Dead Space did better. Also Metal Gear Solid 4 if you aren't against third-person shooter/stealth games. And last but not least if you enjoy RPG's I suggest you check out Fallout 3 (Which has a GotY Edition), Valkyria Chronicles, Dragon Age: Origins (Which has an "Ultimate Edition" exactly like the GotY ones), and Demon's Souls.
EDIT: Also I forgot to mention Fallout: New Vegas if you like RPG's. Though Fallout 3 is a lot cheaper so it would probably be better to get that and see if you enjoy the formula before jumping into New Vegas. Oh, and Final Fantasy XIII.
