It looks like the blue blur is back in what might be the first true sonic console game in years.
Although it is supposed to only be a rumor, thus quite possibly fake, I couldn't help but buckle over in excitement.
Sonic is back baby

Wow, looks cool. If its a fake someone put in a HUGE amount of work for that video... nevertheless I'd wait till playing before I would announce a resurrection of Sonic. However I did like Sonic and the Secret Rings so I think they are fairly close to nailing a 3D Sonic, and with all the 2D perspectives perhaps Sega has finally reached a proper level with their main mascot.

How do we even know that that's even gameplay. That could be a tech demo. Remember how excited everybody got when they did a tech demo of FF7 for the PS3? Look how far that excitement got everyone....no where. I say, sit back, relax, play Sonic on the Genesis til SEGA stops screwing up and releases a game that's good. I'm not gonna get my hopes up after some video appears on the most credible source of information, YouTube.
Wolf Sonic...
Ugh.
That's gonna be annoying.
