I don't think he was involved with them at all.

Seriously. Screw you Shao Kahn I'm gonna play Animal Crossing.
Way to go hollywood. But I guess it's not as bad as what they did to Peter Sellers after his death.Ack wrote: Yeah, she also played the little girl in All Dogs Go To Heaven, which was released a year and a half after her death.

I'm not sure what you mean. The folks working on the film turned it into a tribute for her. The film's theme song "Love Survives" was actually written and dedicated to her. A line from it is engraved on her tombstone.ZeroAX wrote:Way to go hollywood. Hm. I haven't seen the movie, but I bet your ass, that it was just a marketing ploy. Just like how "This is it" was supposed to be about remembering Michael Jackson, or how they made a Pink Panther movie with deleted scenes from previous movies, in Peter Seller's "memory".Ack wrote: I'm not sure what you mean. No, it wasn't. The last thing the movie needed was reminding people about the death of a little child. Murder doesn't sell kid movies.ZeroAX wrote:Hm. I haven't seen the movie, but I bet your ass, that it was just a marketing ploy.
That makes no sense. Yeah, cruel things happen but you don't need to dump your company because someone else was a killer. You want to do something in their memory? Give like 50-70% of the profits to a charity or something.
Man, I don't agree with their choice for the selection. No Freakazoid (my favorite cartoon show ever), no Pinky and the Brain, no Invader Zim, no Rocko's Modern Life, no Powerpuff Girls, no Dexter's Laboratory, no Johnny Bravo, no Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, no Fairly Oddparents, no Flapjack, no Ducktales, no Tiny Toons Adventures, no Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and no Samurai Jack. And even though I don't like Ed, Edd and Eddy, it should have been a choice. Ended up going with The Tick, even though it's not even in my top 5.Gamerforlife wrote:Might be of interest to those of you following this thread:

It's a list of the 25 greatest animated shows ever and they are asking people to vote for one of them. Some good choices, but I have some issues. Not having Gargoyles is absolutely a crime for one thing. It schools many of the other choices on there. Also, while I am an huge Cowboy Bebop fan why include it but no other anime shows? Hell, I could have removed that and put Gargoyles there since the list is clearly not about japanese anime. Good thing too, as there are a ton of anime which are way better than some of the choices on here. Also, there is waaaay too much emphasis on comedy shows here. Nice to see Batman:the Animated Series, but I'd argue Justice League Unlimited was better
Still, there are a lot of notable shows on here that are deserving of a mention

Yeah. I'm not too fond of most of their selection either (and I told them so). Don't get me wrong. I like Archer and Boondocks and Venture Brothers, but honestly, I don't even think they deserve to be on the list when there are sooooo many other choices that have already been mentioned that were far better. Personally, I would have preferred to see some shows along the lines of Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Daria or even the original Garfield animated show. And I agree with Gamerforlife. Cowboy Beebop feels totally out of place on this list. Perhaps they should have started with a top 50/100 list and had people whittle it down from there instead.BoringSupreez wrote:Man, I don't agree with their choice for the selection. A marketing ploy that wasn't mentioned in any of the advertising or promotion for the film? That sure sounds effective.ZeroAX wrote:

Venture Bros deserves to be on every list. (Though, honestly, I haven't seen an episode in months. Damn you, gainful employment!)Michi wrote:Something about Venture Bros not deserving to be some some list
