Bloodrayne Betrayal: Strider Bloodraynia

Post by wip3outguy7 »

I am a huge fan of the first two games. This looks like a great concept and I'm pleased that it appears to be hand-drawn/animated and not the shockwave flash look alike artwork plaguing the XBLA and PSN marketplaces. Here's to hoping they pull it off (and bring back Lynn Mathis).

You saw the blades... What did you think was going to happen?

And here is probably the most comprehensive look at the series you will find: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/termin ... drayne.htm

OMG so awesome.

I'm also a fan of the games, and strangely a fan of the movies. Haha. I think I've said before that I'm actually a Uwe Boll fan in a weird way. I mean, I know his films are "bad movies," but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy them for what they are.

AND YES, that HG101 retrospective is fantastic. I was thrilled that they did that piece.

I was just coming here to post this!

This game looks spectacular! I love the 2D art style. It looks like it will actually be fun. This could be a turning point for this franchise.

BTW, the most important thing in that article is that the game is being developed by WayForward. If y'all are familiar with WF, then you know they do retro right. This shit is gonna be awesome.

I also really wish the PSP game had been released.

Yeah, I've watched the trailer about 10 times now. Really excited about this one. I love the art direction. I love the old skool gaps in animation frames, giving it that organic look that cell shaded games can't accomplish. The art direction looks to be rooted in the manga's (wait, was there a manga?) designs. It fits perfectly with the 2D gameplay. Can't wait!

WayForward has done so much good stuff... Godzilla Domination on GBA, Shantea on GBC, Contra 4 DS, Boy And His Blob Wii, etc etc.

I was never a fan of Blood Rayne, but after watching the trailer, it definitely makes me want to get it. Looks like a really fun sidescroller, but I just hope it goes for $15 bucks.

Wow, this looks pretty awesome. I was never interested in the previous Bloodrayne titles but I'll definitely pick this one up. Also, this is what I'm talking about with regards to things that can be done without having to make uber 3D graphics.

That trailer looks AWESOME. Castlevania, take note at all that style just oozing (hehe) from the trailer. Just based on the trailer, I'd pick that up day one.
