Does Power Base Converter work with X'Eye?

Just wondering if it will fit. I feel like it should, but would love confirmation before hunting one down. Thanks!

The power base converter is rounded on the bottom so it fits snugly in on a model 1 genesis. I suspect (but don't know positively) it would have to be cut on to fit over an x'eye's cartridge slot. Maybe a Master System Converter II would fit.

From what I've read it fits kinda and most say you have to cut down some of the plastic casing. My guess would be he lip on the back end that goes behind the Model 1 Genesis would be the big issue. It almost causes an issue with the CDX but it only slightly pushes on the power cable.
