What Playstation 1 titles have the best graphics?

I'm probably crazy, but I think the PS1 Klonoa looks more appealing than the Wii one. Probably the mix between sprites and polygons. I always thought it looked nice:



Crash Bandicoot Warped and similar games don't look half bad either:

Medievil 1 and 2 A classic!

interesting, because when i played this back then i thought it was like the ugliest looking psx game. Too stiff of an animation when compared to other polygon games on the psx at that time.

It definitely has that polygonal look to it, but I think the charm of the animation makes up for it.

Yeah like FFVII. I love that polygonal look, brings back good memories of when PS1 was still around.

Funny Xenogears is mentioned, it might be one of my top favorite JRPG's but I'd actually say the graphics, or the direction they went with the fully 3D environments and camera is one of my biggest complaints for it. It's not a huge deal, but I would have liked if they just stuck with still drawn backdrops or sprites and such like in a lot of other JRPG's or survival horror games at the time. To me, just about most of those games don't age a whole lot and still look great because of those backdrops. I'd say Dino Crisis 1-2 are good contenders for looking pretty sexy still:
