When it comes to Diet and Protein Muscle builders, probably best to consult your own Doctor.

My two cents
Stay away from the muscle builder chemicals and junk food. Eat the boring fresh vegetables and fruit. You don't have to make the work out a chore, just stay active doing stuff you enjoy. Biking, Swimming, Basketball anything that keeps you moving.

the thing is that I am not trying to look like a body builder
and not trying to have the perfect body

just grow some muscles to have a tougher body
but my bad diet habit wont help me grow
as i eat too little, i got a lot of days with eating 1 meal a day, usually junk food

this is why i take protein to substitute for my bad eating habits
am not looking for any supplements that will give me quick results
just something natural to help me build my muscles

i never knew egg whites was this good
do u cook them or drink them raw?

QFT. You will want to stay away from most of the things that are in GNC. They are loaded with caffeine, carbs, fats and sugars. A lot of the chemical concoctions they come up with are targeted towards people looking to get healthier. Don't buy into it. You can do just as much with eating right, and exercising regularly. If you are going to go with supplements, I highly recommend Beverly international. All of their products are made from natural substances, not things created in a lab. If you go to this site http://beverlyinternational.com/ and read the ingredients in any of their products, you can see it for yourself. It is a bit expensive, but it is well worth it in the long run. If you aren't going all out body builder, I would suggest getting

Ultra 40s (http://tinyurl.com/3eodnho)

and the Muscle provider powder mix. (http://tinyurl.com/3vwk5bg)

Hope this helps.

Edit: Another thing that I forgot to mention is:

When you find a workout method that you like, and are not seeing results... give it time. Don't give up on your routine after a week of not seeing any difference. If you are constantly changing your routine around, you never really give your body a chance to adapt. Stick with your routine, and it will pay off in the long run.

first you say not to buy into any supplements sold at GNC and then you say buy ultra 40, which is a supplement. makes no sense.

to gain muscle, energy intake needs to exceed energy outake. it is that simple. if you are eating not eating enough calories you will NOT gain muscle mass. so your first priority should not be eating a minimum of 3 meals per day and not wasting your money on protein supplements.
if you took a shit, please put it back

I said: "If you are going to go with supplements, I highly recommend Beverly international."

Read the ingredients on a product from GNC. Then read the ingredients on the ultra 40/ muscle provider, like I suggested, and it will make sense.

I refuse to touch supplements

You want to get healthy, start eating healthy and get an exercise routine. Supplements won't balance out the rest of your crap diet. That's not how it works.

troof!

sounds like you want something like p90x. dumbells, pullup bar, better diet, and that will be a good start. most of your protein should come from whole foods anyway. just a little fyi, your body can only handle about 50g of protein at once, anything else you just piss out anyway. and you should get enough creatine from your diet. your body can only handle about 5-10g's at once. if you do whey protein shakes regulary, drink plenty of water throughout the day. helps your liver. good luck.

Its a life-style not a hobby.
You cant just work out once in a while and chug a protein shake and expect results.

You need to seriously change your lifestyle and eating habits if you want to see any results at all. Don't go too crazy into supplements for now, just work on your routine, technique, form, meal plans, etc. The rest will come in time. To be honest it will probably take months or years for you to seriously understand everything and want to change your life style.

Theres nothing wrong with trying to be more healthy, and I am far from a "body builder" but my advice would be "go big or go home". If you're not gonna give it 100%, don't bother doing it. One thing that drives me nuts is a lot of the guys I go to the gym with talk nonstop about the results and goals they want, but their attitude and lifestyle outside of the gym doesn't reflect any of these goals at all. My friends go back to drinking, smoking, eating fast food, getting high, etc and complain when they aren't jacked.

Go to Costco and buy chicken, rice, and vegetables in bulk. Eat four real meals every day and get someone who knows what they are talking about to show you a thing or two at a gym, and help you come up with a personalized workout plan.

Glad someone brought that up. I'm doing just that right now. But it's really hard to do a workout without the high carb intake. Since today I added sweet potatoes, which are not allowed in a strict paleo diet. Any ideas on high carb foods that are paleo friendly?...

I have to add, I only started the paleo diet a week ago. So maybe my body still needs to adapt to the new diet?... Been feeling really faint for the last 3 days. I had the same feeling when I attempted this diet a few years ago. Didn't work out then since I was still smoking weed, which didn't go well with the low carb intake at all... lol

Oh yeah, started eating bananas as of today also. Think I will fit them into my daily menu from now on. And they go well with the nuts, dried fruit and occasional piece of bitter dark chocolate... ^^

I also hope this diet helps me get rid of the acid reflux problems I've been dealing with for the last few years. Still have 'em now. But as I said before, I only started about a week ago...

As for the OP, maybe check out the crossfit website also...
