Faceball 2000 review (SNES)

Faceball 2000 for the SNES is a 3D style shooter. The levels each are maze like in design, and are named after cities (I really have no clue why). The main point of the game is to "tag" the enemies, the game has a counter on the left side of the screen showing how many you have left. The enemies are generic shapes with pretty funny names like "shootme" or "ishoot". One thing I have to say I don't like very much about it is the way you move. When you turn it feels like it might be lagging (though you can hold down two buttons to turn faster) and the bullets shoot pretty slow. Faceball's difficulty steadily increases when you go through the levels. The best part about the game has to be the two player mode. You can either just play against a friend or you can play co-op through the main game. The sound is also very good in the game, even if it's a countinous loop. When you die you see a picture of what killed you and the game says "Have a Nice Day" I have to say I really like this game, it is extremely fun to play, especially 2 player.
Here is a good video on youtube of the gameplay:

It's an interesting remake of an older game called MIDI Maze, which I'd say is arguably one of the first multiplayer FPS games. It actually networked through a computer's MIDI port.
