I was a little disappointed, but I made a pretty good haul today after all. First, I went to my local Play N Trade and it was a pretty average day (no Gyromite adapters  ). Got Stunt Race FX (SNES) and Mission: Impossible (N64) for $4.50 each, which got me Super Mario Bros. (NES) for free (buy 2 get 1 free insider club deal). Stunt Race is always good for me to pick up cause I turn it into Star Fox 2, and I remember playing MI waaaay back on a rental. I have a SMB/Duck Hunt cart, but for some anal reason I want a regular old SMB cart, and it was free. :D

Then I happen to be around another Play N Trade that I'm never at so I decided to stop in. First thing I spotted was a Tengen Tetris cart in the counter. Usually they put popular titles in the case with high price tags, so I asked how much. Turned out to be $20, and I was struggling to remember how much they go for on eBay. I bought it on a whim, but I just looked on eBay and they're all BIN's for $40 and up. So I'd say that was a good find, especially since those places are known for over pricing things. AND, buying it got me a free game. So I picked up Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions for SNES. Don't know a thing about that game, maybe it's good, but it was free so I'm happy.

Then I stopped at Good Will and a local thrift shop. Good Will had NOTHING video game related, I was a little disappointed. The thrift shop had a case with a lot of video games in it, including a lot of NES carts with some SNES and Genesis carts. I started looking through the NES carts until I realized they were ALL priced $14.99. The hell with that. Then I was looking through their mess of a wall of electronics. There was one shelf with a mess of random AC adapters on it, so I decided to look through. I got an official Gameboy power adapter for 99 cents! I really don't have any use for it, but I figure for $1 I'll save it.

So who wants to buy a Tengen Tetris cart from me? Nah, I might hold on to it for a while. Not sure yet.

Man..we have Salvation Army, Goodwill, and a couple other stores here. I went to all 4 of them this weekend and for the most part they didn't have ANYTHING. Only things I picked up were two NES games.
Going through deleting inactive accounts of mine as a security precaution. No hard feelings, but admins, if it is possible to delete this account, please do so. Thanks in advance!

I like the Tengen version better, plus it has 2 player mode. Nice find.

The Gameboy adapter turned out to be for a GB Pocket or GB Color, I only have the brick GB. Oh well, it was only a buck, and I'm sure some one will want it in a trade one day.

Don't feel bad. For the most part, my local thrift store (the big one at least, I never stop in the smaller ones) and Good Will never have anything video game related. Last time I was in Good Will, they had an Xbox console, dirty as hell, no cables, $50. This time, nothing.

Besides the $14.99 NES carts, the thrift store had a busted up PS1 and a busted up DC controller. I guess you gotta go often though if you wanna find cool stuff.

Yeah, I read about the Tengen version. I think I played it on my flash cart for a few minutes once. I'll have to check it out more now that I've got it.
