No. I haven't been following the new Muppet movie. I liked the old ones, but I assumed after the last few ones that this one will stink. Does it look good?

Trailer

Too soon to tell, as this is just a teaser. But! Apparently the script is solid, but contains more human dialogue and appearances than Muppets. But that's a script from over a year ago, so until a friend of mine screens it, I don't really know what to expect.

The really weird 1950's style school and clothing mixed with modern day LA and all the other gigantic plot holes just made me hate this move.

Damn it Luke, I was hoping it was for Happy Time Murders. But I am still excited about a new Muppet movie in any capacity.

It's a teaser.

Trailer should hit early June.

I like the bait and switch, but it's hard to swallow if you know it's a Muppet movie. But I'm biased as I will watch anything Muppet.

You know someone in the film industry? Lucky you.

True, going into the trailer the bait and switch left me mostly confused. Since I already knew what it was it made the whole movie feel really.......bad (for lack of a better word) right off the bat.

If it's not actually some crappy and overly stupid rom-com wrapped in a mediocre 10-30 minutes of actual Muppets then count me in. I loves me some old-school non crapped up Muppets movies.

Muppets in Space.........MUPPETS IN SPACE!

And a crazy industry it is, but it's nice to know all about movies from anywhere from six months to two years before a release.

You share the same view of a whole lot of people, and I don't disagree, but I love Muppets.

Although kids still grow up with Sesame Street, not all kids are really familiar with and/or like the Muppet cast. You can see the trailer before the new Pirates movie (which is actually a good movie) and I scoped out kids reactions to the Muppets. There was very little reaction. Had Elmo replaced Kermit, I think (I repeat I think) the audience of kids would have gone bonkers.

With that all in mind, if this introduces a new generation of kids to the Muppets, we're living on the right planet and nothing but good can come out of this.

Now only if the "Muppet Man" script was made into a movie. That script is an emotional roller coaster ride.
