I really wanted to support this game and company so I picked it up today at Wal-Mart. It was only $5. I think it may have been returned or something. It was in a generic dvd case and with no cover and part of the box that slides over the case was badly torn and dinged up. Also there were no instruction manuals or anything. I installed it when I got home and everything started up just fine, can't wait til it gets dark to start playing.
Been trying to find a cover art file to print out to put into the dvd case, but can't seem to find a decent image to print.

^ Bummer about the case being dinged up.

The box being dinged doesn't annoy me as much as not being able to find printable cover art for the game.

If I had the retail version I'd scan it for you but unfortunately I don't.Wombatula wrote:The box being dinged doesn't annoy me as much as not being able to find printable cover art for the game.

Thanks anyway. Hopefully I find something somewhere, or someone else can scan it if possible. BTW, what's the best paper to print covers on? I usually use ordinary paper but didn't know if a different type of paper would be better.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:If I had the retail version I'd scan it for you but unfortunately I don't.Wombatula wrote:The box being dinged doesn't annoy me as much as not being able to find printable cover art for the game.

I tend to use semi-gloss photopaper.Wombatula wrote:Thanks anyway. Hopefully I find something somewhere, or someone else can scan it if possible. BTW, what's the best paper to print covers on? I've got a retail copy like you do, though I'm not hooked up to a scanner right now. The game only came with the case, insert, and a short install slip. Since the game was originally only released online, they decided against a manual.
Re: AMNESIA: The Dark Descent (from the creators of Penumbra)
Well I got a good copy of the front cover so I took that and with a little editing I have a pretty decent cover. I took the front cover, copied it and put the two images next to each other for the front and back cover. I then put a 1 inch margin in between, filled it in with black and then added a text box in there with a pretty cool white font for the title.
It was a bitch to get the sizing right but I finally got it with some good old trial and error. Just need to go out and pick up some good paper and it should be good to go.
