Man you guys are awesome for keeping up with your lists.

In all honesty my list would just say "a lot; I forget, but a bunch".

Recently beat Mortal Kombat (360), and it was worth the price tag. Not much more to add other than this thread has almost become a "buyers guide" for me. Keep up the great insights.

I am loving MK's story mode, I think it is the best single player in any fighting game, sucks so hard that the game was banned in AUS.

I can echo this statement. Though I don't comment much on what other people beat I read it all and keep the opinions in mind when I am looking for games / deciding what to play next.

1) Ducktales 2 (NES)
2) Yakuza 2 (PS2)
3) Yakuza 3 (PS3)
4) Yakuza 4 (PS3)
5) Deja Vu Casebook 1: A Nightmare Comes True (GBC)
6) Paperboy: Special Delivery - Story Mode (iPhone)
7) Tomba! (PSX) 5/22

I mentioned that I was playing Tomba! briefly in another thread here...finally got around to beating it. 126/130 missions unlocked, of which I completed around 120 I believe. I wanted to complete it 100%, but went without a guide for most of it and didn't find out until the end (when I checked a guide to figure out what side missions I missed, etc) that there are some side missions that must be done before certain things happen in the story. No big, maybe someday I'll play it again and do everything.

Truly an incredible game, fun until the very last second. My only complaint is that I reached a couple points where I was just simply not sure what I was supposed to do next...so many missions and so forth, and since you can do things in pretty much any order that was inevitable. A minor flaw (if you could even call it that, more my fault than the game's  ) in an otherwise spotless game. Definitely in my top 5 games ever played, maybe even top 3. Need to get ahold of the second one at some point...

Top 5 material?! I guess I need to play Tomba then. I have an ISO of it and have been meaning to give it a go. I'll have to get on that.

1. 3/26 - Crash Bandicoot: Warped! (PS1)
2. 3/26 - Shatter (PS3)
3. 3/27 - Megaman X (SNES)
4. 3/31 - Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA)
5. 4/05 - Klonoa (Wii)
6. 4/07 - Donkey Kong Returns (Wii)
7. 4/19 - Street Fighter II (SNES)
8. 4/22 - Enslaved :Journey to the West (360)
9. 4/24 - Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (NES)
10. 5/21 - Epic Mickey (Wii)

For all it's faults, I really enjoyed Epic Mickey. It's a fun platformer with some adventure elements. The art style and general theme is great. The presentation and story telling is fantastic for this type of game. I also really enjoyed the music and sound. Sure, the camera can be a little crappy, and having to travel back and forth through those portal levels was tedious, especially during fetch-quests (the game *really* could have benefited from a fast-travel system), but that game was unique and fun enough to keep me playing to the end. All and all a decent game, I'd give it around a 75%, only docking the score for the beef's above. Without the flaws I'd probably give it an 85%.

Yes sir! :D

Keep practicing those early levels and build up a stock of lives. If you can hit prospect park with a handful of lives and beat both levels without a game over (its really freakin' hard to survive prospect park with only 3 lives. getting game over there always ruins an attempt to beat the game for me), you'll be on the express train to the end of the game. That's my strategy, heh.

Good luck man, I hope you beat it soon!

Maybe play Separation Anxiety next? That one's brutal too. I've never beaten it.

Super Castlevania IV (SNES)
Abadox (NES)
Super Mario Bros (GBC)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Sonic 3 + Knuckles (Genesis, locked on)
Contra (NES)
Bullet Candy Perfect (Windows)

Just beat Bullet Candy Perfect. Difficulty: normal; Score: 6860290; Time 17:11. Fun shmup! Pointed to the free download by J T, normal difficulty was easy enough to finish on my first try in under 20 minutes and with about 20 extra lives (which are pretty easy to come by). There are two harder difficulties, difficult and insane, and I'm looking forward to beating it on those too. This game is absolutely beautiful. Color is everywhere and is so bright, really offsets the darkness of space. The enemies are only a few, but creative still. Music is ambient, but the intensity of color really makes it great. There are a dozen achievements to unlock too.
