"PSP Remasters" (PSP games on PS3)
Re: "PSP Remasters" (PSP games on PS3)
All the PSP games I like have almost zero chance of getting a remaster. Except Class of Heroes, which already got a remaster years ago.

If all the gems of the PSP got remastered, the appeal of having the PSP is gone imo.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this. I've been bitching for a while that they finally gave us a translated version of Rondo in the West but it was only on a handheld. The 2.5D remake of Rondo, SotN, and the original Rondo on the PS3 would be an awesome buy. I'd buy it just for Rondo, as it'd be the only English release on an actual console.Flake wrote:Castlevania Dracula X collection, please.

I like the idea of sharing the game on both consoles... but I also really enjoy collecting physical PSP releases. So I don't know. If only they could release the game physically with a voucher for PS3 download or something?

It depends on the person then.itsmattxp wrote:If all the gems of the PSP got remastered, the appeal of having the PSP is gone imo.
My psp has gotten more use in the past three months serving as an emulator than its ever had in the 3+ years I owned it.
As to this news, its a cool idea, but there's not much for me to get excited about really...
Though if they did it for Dracula X as mentioned earlier, I'd buy it up in a heartbeat.

Yeah, the PS3-exclusive Loco Roco has horrendous. A PSP Remaster of the game would be much more preferable.SwooshBear wrote:Resistance Retribution, the God of Wars, and Patapon would be cool. I want to see how they would pull off Loco Roco
Edit: Just thought of FF7 Crisis Core, that would be awesome!
I have been a huge proponent of console-handheld releases of the same game, in that you can share your save file between the two.

A couple of games that came from the top of my head that I'd like are Motorstorm: Arctic Edge and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. I'd be instantly sold on it

Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast and Valkyria Chronicles II would be the two that I'd most want to play.
And since Monster Hunter is published by Capcom, it gives me hope that other third parties (like Sega) will get in on this series too.

It sounds great to me. I've considered getting a PSP for a long time, but I want to see how cheap they'll get after it's officially dead.
If they release Patapon, Loco Roco, and Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins I'd be extremely happy.

I don't know how I feel. I've wanted to buy a PSP for a while and haven't gotten around to it. If suddenly all the games I'm interested in for PSP start becoming available for PS3 then it could very well make the eventual decision on sinking money into a PSP a lot harder.
Also the only games I can really see benefiting from the port are ones where the addition of an extra analog stick would improve gameplay. Like Peace Walker for example. The PSP version makes you use the face buttons for aiming, while if it got a PS3 port the right analog stick could be used instead and would greatly improve the over-all game.
Last but not least, some of the games (For me at least) look appealing because they are portable titles. Putting them on PS3 would take away the portable appeal and yet make it hard to rationalize buying a PSP if the game is available on a console I already own.
