Compete to be the funniest person in the room! This is a really clever idea for an online game. Up to 10 people enter a sort of chat room. You are all presented with the same image. In the first part of the round, you secretly come up with a caption for the image in under a minute. In the second part, everyone's captions are displayed for you to vote on, but their usernames are removed so you don't know who wrote what. Whoever gets the most votes scores more points. After 6 or 7 rounds, the person with the most points wins and is the funniest person in the room.
Just started a room on there called Racketboy. Come join, you guys! :)

Thor: Bring the Thunder

This is the video game tie-in to the movie. They did a great job in nailing a retro graphical style, but the gameplay falls a little short, unless it's just a problem with my browser/net connection. Things either feel too choppy or too slippery.

Controls are slippery, yes. And enemies are really boring. The graphics are neat, but that's about all the game's got going for itself.

Given that it's been (almost) two days, I hope J T doesn't mind me posting this:

This is one of my go-to flash games. It's been around for a while, but in case some people haven't played it yet, it's a fun little game in my opinion. You go around swinging your swords at "glooples", which, although harmless at first, quickly become terrifying little buggers. Game should keep you entertained for hours, not swinging your sword around, but also reading the maker's captions for awards earned.

Looks amazing! Too bad about the controls... I'm going to try it out tonight.

*Edit. Beat it just now. The keyboard controls weren't horrible, but the game was much more playable using Xpadder and my Street Fighter IV gamepad. It wasn't the greatest platformer ever, but it was fun for what it was, and the subtle Mega Man references were nice.

The Outbreak

Image

I am a sucker for FMV games, so it should come as no surprise that I enjoyed this one. The Outbreak is a choose-your-own-adventure style movie. Do you ever shout things at horror movies like "NO! Don't go in the basement you idiot! There's no way out!". Well, in The Outbreak you can actually tell them not to do that and see if your idea is any better. There's a bunch of ways to die and only two ways to live.

Nobuyuki Forces 4

This is a rail shooter that plays like light gun classics like Time Crisis or Virtua Cop, except you use your mouse to aim instead. Like the Time Crisis games, you use a duck and cover mechanic to dart in and out of the action to reload.

Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure

Image

Yes, the same guy that recommended you play Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer is now recommending you play Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure. I'm an unusual person. This game is so insanely cute though, nobody can resist it.

Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure sounds like it was created by a 5 year old... because IT WAS created by a five year old. Game developer Ryan Henson Creighton and his daughter (both pictured below) came up with a game together. He let her do the artwork, story ideas, and voices while he did all of the programming. The result is something adorable beyond words and retains the child-like charm that no adult could quite properly recreate on their own.

^ ooh.. This got featured on Kotaku, so the site is getting kind of hammered and running slow. If you can't play it today just wait a little while. It's worth it.

Hey, there is now an RPG Maker program for browsers!

http://rpgjs.com/

If anyone gets into this and makes a game, you should post it up in this thread!
