So what have you guys been watching lately?
Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
The wife and I don't watch a lot of tv, but we actually prefer the same shows. We're both in school full-time, I work full-time and she cares for 3 kids during the day so we only watch shows we really love; Dexter, The Borgias, House, NCIS, and the Office, that's pretty much it. Been thinking about checking out Dr. Who and Game of Thrones though, once school lets out next week. Might have to give the shows people listed here a try too.

What a truly BADASS way to end season 6 of Supernatural. Spoilers obviously for anyone who hasn't watched the show. Damn, that was awesome. Every now and then I think Supernatural is almost better than Buffy and Angel were

I'm currently watching Freaks & Geeks for the first time. I've fallen in love with the characters and am already dreading the end of the one and only season. My wife just discovered Undeclared though, which is made by the same people and has the same actors, so we're planning to move on to that next.

I caught a few random episodes of Freaks & Geeks after hearing people rave about that show. It's kind of funny. I understand its appeal, though it's not exactly my kind of showJ T wrote:I'm currently watching Freaks & Geeks for the first time. Lately, I've been going through The X Files, season 1. I'd never seen it before, because I was never interested, but I decided to give it a try. So far, I'm thinking I should have watched this years ago, instead of waiting till now.

The Hard Times of RJ Berger, but now that the second season is over, I'm waiting for season 3, especially with season 2's ending with
SPOILER ALERT:
Lily is pregnant with RJ's baby, conceived on the night of the winter formal at the end of season one. Oh, and Max is gay.
Oh, and a lot of movies set in New York City.

Game of Thrones. Amazing show and it really does feel like a book put to television because no part of the story every feels rushed

I just watched all the episodes of Police Squad! which isn't too hard, since there are only 6. It was completely hilarious! It made fun of all the cliches and tropes of those 70's cop shows that I've seen too much. It's a real shame it was so short.

Found out that they have every Power Rangers show (the original, every spinoff and even the short-lived "remastered" version of MMPR which aired as Season 18, and both movies) in existence.
Personally, though the first season was the best, with the third season being the second best, with season 2 being third-best. And then, progressively they started to lose that spark from Zeo onward, though Samurai (which IDK is on there yet, and is the first to air in HD, the first since Wild Force to be released by Saban AND the first to air on it's new home, Nickelodeon).
Oh, and even better...
Two other Saban programs, VR Troopers (a slightly more violent PR-style program, and actually one of the better PR-clones) and Big Bad Beetleborgs (which, like VR Troopers, was based on Japan's Metal Heroes franchise, but unlike VRT was more geared towards younger viewers without alienating the slightly older crowds).
Sadly, they don't have Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Saban's first attempt at a PR-style show using original footage in lieu of using Japanese footage in tandem with American footage. Sadly, this show never got a second season, though one was hinted at in the season finale.
Yeah, so... children of the '90s, rejoice... or not. Whatever. I mean, this stuff's still better than the crap most networks shove into kids' faces today.
Personally, I wanna see them add all the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons (even Sonic Underground, which I've never really seen). And since they're all owned by the same company, also throw in the Carmen Sandiego cartoon, and this other PR-style show called Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad (based on the J-Hero program Gridman).

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Ah nuts. CC canceled The Sports Show with Norm McDonald. For some reason CC seems to always give new shows really crappy time slots, and it is all Larry the cable guy or some awful movie during the day.
