Interesting: I got a Jury Duty notice. I wonder how this works because I never been called before.
You show your work or school that you won't be able to come in that day and then you go on your appointed day to sit in a room with strangers and maybe get picked for a lawyer to look you over and then maybe get picked for an actual jury.

BIG Smile: Morning Musume's "fall tour" has been announced! :)

Not sure if this counts as a real fall tour since it's 10 shows over the month of September, ending at Budokan, done specifically for Aichan's graduation from the group (really more like an "end of summer" tour? I guess? ). I'm sure they'll have another fall tour starting after that without her; they're just doing this tour because she wants to graduate close to her 10th anniversary with the group~ (end of August)

Anyway, because of that announcement I was finally able to book my flight :D
Leaving July 27th, flying back October 5th. Got a friend handling the concert tickets for me (need a Japanese address to order them)...going to attempt going to all 10 shows of the grad tour - in Aichi, Osaka, Fukui, Tokyo - and visiting a Japanese friend who lives in Nara plus another American friend who's studying in Sapporo (assuming I have time, that is...), and the friend I stayed with when I was in Tokyo last year. Also have a friend who's teaching English in Korea that I haven't seen like in like a year who's planning to come visit me for a bit since the flight is short. Staying in a foreigner guest house/dorm for August and September and then crashing at a friend's house in Kanagawa before/after my time in the dorm.

Everything's finally coming together, and I can't wait. Gonna be a very busy and exciting couple months

Smile: Had some of the best sushi of my life last night, and the chefs and I shared a few shots of sake with each other. Plus I spoke with the head itamae and found out I could directly purchase Koon Chun hoison sauce from him, which I did. This is great because I used to have to drive a three hour round trip to find decent hoison sauce.

Frown: My birthday party was lame lame lame.

Ticked off: As I speak, and with elections roaming around the corner of tomorrow, there's a lot of people camping in the middle of Madrid. How come? Well, they are complaining.

Well, what about? In the end? Nothing. It's a hot air ballon, it's an empty shell of discontent that leads nowhere. It's a poorly tought exercise of frustration by people who suffer an economical crisis but who don't understand enough so as to comment on it. It's pure naïvete.

It's nothing because it's everything. It has people who think that having two big parties is not a "real democracy", never mind the people who voted them in first place. You have people who rant about nuclear power. You have people talking about Citizen's rights while saying that anyone accused of corruption should be banned from politics. Accused, not even judged.

You have people boasting about how pacifist they are, and how the military spending of the imperialistic Spain should be cut and all weapons facories closed. You have people who see Iceland as heroes for refusing to pay back what they borrowed. There's no goal, just fragmented ideas.

It's just so empty, so naïve, so easy/i] that it irks me the wrong way. Having ideas is useless, you need a coherent theory, you need to understand the workings of something to criticize it. Complaining is useless when you don't even know who to complain at.

Ticked: The world didn't end today - all my looting plans and work on a Mad Max-esque outfit were for nothing.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Actually a great enlightening experience. You interact with people from all kinds of backgrounds during the deliberations. One of the best way about learning about other's life experiences.

Smile: I went to the thrift store and picked up a bunch of goodies! And I had a hot sub from this awesome local place for dinner. Oh and uhm, hey guys, how's heaven?

Ticked: o_o Nothing ticked me off today actually. Surprising.
